Quantitative Nanomechanical & Nanotribological Characterization in Fluid
The nanomechanical and nanotribological properties of many materials can vary significantly when testing submerged in fluid, relative to testing under dry or high humidity conditions. For materials that operate submerged in fluids or lubricants, it is essential to characterize the properties under working conditions. Hysitron offers a variety of test probes designed to enable testing of samples under fully hydrated conditions. Fluid cells are easily integrated within Hysitron’s TI Premier and TI 950 TriboIndenter nanomechanical test instruments to reliably measure hydration-sensitive materials.
